The Tree-a-dile

The Tree-a-dile by Dom Conlon illustrated by Jools Wilson

When I sat a while
on the Tree-a-dile
I thought I saw
its barkish smile.

But as I pondered
on that sight,
it snapped me up
with one great bite.

That might have been
the end of me
had I not known
it was a tree,

and so to end
this happy fable
I made myself
a coffee table.
